What happened?

After I heard the score of tonight's game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Carolina Hurricanes, I just have to ask; what happened? The Leafs lost by a score of 7 to 1, did any of them show up for the game? And when did the new number one goalie turn into Swiss cheese?

I remember hockey before the lock out, it was good, Toronto was doing well. Now with the new rules and the salary cap, they stink! What happened to the team that I remember? I remember listening to the game at work today, and every time I actually heard the game, Carolina was on another power play. Come on, you can't win a hockey game from the penalty box.

Four games into the season and the Maple Leafs are 1-2-1. What will the next few games bring? I'm hoping a win, but if they don't do something to improve the way they place, then I'm going to be preparing for another disappointing season.

Now I dont know if you have clued in over the years but the Leafs just ain't getting any better...lol. Things haven't changed for them in years in fact decades, the last I remember, oh yeah wait I can't remember it cause it hasn't happened in my time, but the last I heard my family has gone through about four generations and the Leafs still haven't won the cup. In order to find out about that game I would have to talk to my grandparents and my kids would have to talk to there great grandparents, and my parents can't remember that game because they were to little to remember it if they were even born yet, so now my kids can't even ask there great grandparents or grandparents, and as all these generations go by another piece of Candian hockey history dies, and why is that because the Maple Leafs SUCK. Maybe one day when i'm a grandparent I can tell my grandchildren how we had to wait half a century to get the Stanley Cup back to where it belongs, because we know we ain't getting it any time soon, but we did finally get it and history was made again, with no help from the Leafs because by that time the NHL will probably have created another team to try and take away from the embarrassment the Leafs have brought on us.

I'm obviously a Leafs fan and have watched the Leafs fail repeatedly, but just so you know, this is a new season and it is still too early to tell if they have improved or not. The Maple Leafs will win another Stanely Cup, soon or later. I just wish you had enough bollocks to include your name in your comment. Its easy to trash talk some one when you can keep your annonymity isn't it?
